About Beith David
An initiative to share this key for our generation: to rekindle the wisdom of Jerusalem and to recall the deeper meaning of Israel.
"If I forget you, O Jerusalem…"
Beith David is an initiative of outreach, transmission and awakening of consciousness born in Jerusalem, to make heard a voice of Torah, justice and peace able to illuminate Israel and to speak to the nations.
An initiative born of a calling
Beith David was not born of a passing circumstance. This initiative has been carried since childhood, then clarified over the years, through encounters, study and the return to Jerusalem.
Our generation is passing through a turning point. Israel has returned to its land, but the return of the people also calls for a return of wisdom: a collective voice, rooted in Jerusalem, able to bind together Torah, justice, compassion and the concrete life of the people.
Beith David does not come to add yet another opinion to Israeli public debate. It wishes to reopen a deeper question: what wisdom can unite, orient and lift up Israel — for the good of the people, the dignity of families, the protection of the most vulnerable, and a voice of peace for the nations?
Beith David wishes to serve this consciousness through study, transmission, clarification of the sources and the opening of a dignified dialogue around the spiritual restoration of Israel.
Heritage
The torch of the masters of Israel
Beith David pays homage to the masters of Israel who, through the centuries, often at the cost of their lives, carried to us the precious torch of the Torah. This heritage must not only be preserved. It must be brought alive for our generation.
"For Zion's sake I will not be silent, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest…"
Beith David does not seek to invent a new voice. It wishes to serve an ancient transmission with the means of our time.
An approach of Torah, wisdom and responsibility
Torah
Deepening the sources of the Torah, of Hassidut and of the tradition of Israel with seriousness, patience and humility.
Transmission
Making this voice accessible to the greatest number through texts, addresses, videos and proposals able to connect study to the concrete challenges of our generation.
Jerusalem
Receiving Jerusalem as a source of wisdom, justice and peace for Israel and the nations.
Collective wisdom
Rekindling the consciousness of a collective voice carried by sages, tsadikim and the various streams of Torah, so that the Torah may once again illuminate national life without erasing differences.
Justice
Recalling that the Torah carries a demand for justice, human dignity and responsibility toward the most vulnerable.
Service
Serving the spiritual restoration of Israel with faithfulness to the sources, respect for the sages and attention to the real people.
A spiritual approach, not a claim of authority
Because the matters addressed are elevated, Beith David clearly states its place.
Beith David does not claim
- To be a political party.
- To speak in the name of all Israel.
- To replace existing rabbinical authorities.
- To restore the Sanhedrin on its own.
- To claim a new institutional authority.
- To impose any belief or interpretation on anyone.
Beith David seeks to
- To study the model of collective wisdom transmitted by the Torah, notably through the memory of the Sanhedrin.
- To rekindle a consciousness of justice, peace and responsibility.
- To recall the spiritual vocation of Israel.
- To make heard a voice rooted in the Torah from Jerusalem.
- To serve a faithful transmission, useful to the Jewish people and open to the nations.
An inner origin
At the inner origin of Beith David lies the encounter with Shmouel, a child affected by cerebral motor disability, deprived of ordinary speech, whose messages on Israel, the Torah and the Geulah deeply marked David, the founder of Beith David.
This story is told on a dedicated page, in order to give it its proper place: neither erased, nor put on display.
"The fire of the origin must not become a claim; it must become a light."
An encouragement received from Rav Yitzchak Ginsburgh
A blessing to spread the Torah, the Geulah and the kingship of Israel.
In 2014, the founder of Beith David received a blessing from Rav Yitzchak Ginsburgh, one of the important contemporary masters of Hassidut and Jewish mysticism.
This blessing is received as an encouragement to study, clarify and transmit with faithfulness the teachings of the Torah, of the Geulah and of the kingship of Israel.
"May you have great success in spreading the teachings of the Torah and the tidings of the Geulah (Redemption) and the kingship of Israel to every Jewish soul throughout the world."
Who is Rav Yitzchak Ginsburgh?
Rav Yitzchak Ginsburgh is an important figure of contemporary Hassidic thought. His teachings connect Torah, Kabbalah, Hassidut, psychology, inner life, scientific questions and the vocation of Israel.
Author of many books and teaching for decades in Israel and around the world, he is followed by students from varied backgrounds within the world of Torah. Beith David draws inspiration in particular from his teachings on Malkhut Israel, the Geulah, Davidic wisdom and the spiritual role of Israel in history.
This encouragement accompanies the work of study and transmission of Beith David.

The vocation of Israel is not reduced to surviving its trials. It calls to illuminate, to repair and to elevate. It is this consciousness that Beith David wishes to serve: a living Torah, a real justice, a voice of peace, and a wisdom of Jerusalem able to speak to our generation.
A house of wisdom from Jerusalem
Beith David wishes to serve a voice of Torah, justice and peace, rooted in the sources of Israel and turned toward our generation.
May this house become a place of transmission, of study, of inspiration, of justice and of peace, where each sincere heart may find strength to move forward and to do good.
