Studying, transmitting, clarifying

Understanding the deep meaning of Israel in the light of the Torah.

From Jerusalem, Beith David offers short audio teachings, rooted in the great sources of Israel, so as to illuminate our times and make the spiritual, historical and national foundations of Israel more accessible.

The aim is to provide a study that is faithful to the sources, progressive, and accessible to all.

Audio cycle

Malkhut Israel

The study cycle of Beith David

Malkhut Israel is a series of short study audios drawn from the teachings of Rav Yitzchak Ginsburgh.

The cycle explores the vocation of Israel, kingship, collective responsibility, justice, the Geulah, the unity of the people, and the spiritual role of Jerusalem among the nations.

Through the sources of the Torah and the wisdom transmitted by the masters of Israel, these teachings seek to illuminate the challenges of our time and to make the deep meaning of Israel intelligible.

The teachings offered by Beith David constitute a presentation, a study and a contextualisation of the three volumes of Malkhut Israel by Rav Yitzchak Ginsburgh. They do not replace the original works, but seek to make them more accessible and understandable, in particular for English-speaking audiences.

Some questions this cycle addresses

  • Why has Israel returned to its land?
  • What is the meaning of Malkhut Israel?
  • What role does Jerusalem hold in the biblical vision?
  • Why does the Geulah concern all of humanity?
  • How can sovereignty, justice and Torah be brought together?

The teachings of Beith David are part of a broader reflection on the institutions of the Torah, the collective wisdom of Israel, and the restoration of a justice inspired by the sources.

In parallel

Sanhedrin & Resources

Alongside the Malkhut Israel cycle, Beith David works to clarify the sources around the collective wisdom of Israel and the Great Sanhedrin of Jerusalem.

This work draws on the Torah, the Prophets, the Talmud, the Rambam, Rabbi Jacob Berab, the Maharal, Rav Kook, Rav Steinsaltz, the Lubavitcher Rebbe and Rav Yitzchak Ginsburgh.

It addresses earlier attempts at restoration, halakhic objections and traditional responses.

Beith David studies the Great Sanhedrin of Jerusalem as the memory of a collective wisdom able to illuminate justice, peace and the national life of Israel, without any claim of institutional authority.
